Geneva Thelma Freeman

Geneva Thelma Freeman passed away peacefully at home in Broomfield, CO, with her family by her side, on Thursday, August 20th, 2020 at the age of 86. She was born on February 28th, 1934 in La Grande, Oregon to Thelma Beatrice (Hoffman) and Noel Le Mont Churchill. In the earlier years of her life, Geneva and her family moved to New Mexico where she stayed for over 28 years. On June 14th, 1968, Geneva married Willie E. Freeman in Seminole, Texas. The couple eventually settled in Colorado where they remained for over 40 years of their marriage. Together they raised their three children, Marian, John, and Noel "Clayton". 

Geneva worked as a waitress for the majority of her life. She worked hard to obtain her GED so that she could work as a Nursing Home Administrator, which she did for 6 years before retiring. She also had a "Gift & Gift Exchange" in Manitou Springs. Geneva spent a lot of her time studying and reading her bible. She had many favorite hymns she liked to sing. She enjoyed camping, crafts, crocheting, playing piano, gardening, playing table and card games, and taking long drives to the mountains to spend time in God's nature. She also lived in Nixa, Missouri for a short period of time. She will be dearly missed 

Geneva is preceded in death by her father, Noel Le Mont Churchill of Sandy, OR; her mother, Thelma Cartwright and stepdad, Clayton Cartwright of Hobbs, NM; and her daughter, Marian Sivils of Gatesville, TX. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Willie E. Freeman of Broomfield, CO; brother, Kenneth (Donna) Cartwright of Wolforth, TX; sons, John (Regina) Hart of Tekamah, NE and Noel Clayton (Wanda) Hart of Broomfield, CO; grandchildren, Samantha, Sandy, Amy, Brandon, Suzanne, Kristin Jula, and Amber; twenty-three great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.
