July 21st, 1946March 6th, 2020

Charles J. Roesle Jr., aged 73, died March 6, 2020 of complications following a stroke in 2015.  He was born to Mary Ryan Roesle and Charles Roesle on July 21, 1946 in Washington, DC.  He was a graduate of the University of Maryland.  He married Carol Schlechten on July 5, 1975.  After service in the U. S. Army (at the Pentagon), he worked for the federal government at both the Census Bureau and the Department of the Treasury.  Charles retired in 2007 and he and Carol moved to Louisville, Colorado in 2012.  He was an avid golfer and bridge player.  He enjoyed travel, spending time with family—he was a superior parent!--, and volunteering for his church.  He was a great wit, and always loved a good joke and a good scotch whisky.

Charles was predeceased by daughter Karin and both his parents.  He is survived by his wife, son Matthew (Mahi), brother Tommy (Dorota) and sisters Margaret (Jim) and Kathleen, and many nieces and nephews.

A remembrance service will be held on March 12, 10:30 a.m., at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Louisville.

Dearest Carol, Helen and I send our warmest condolences for your great loss and ours too. Charlie was a dear and loved friend. I'm sure that your love for him over the past 5 years of his great struggle is what kept him going so long. I miss his "Moose Drool" and similar whacky notions . . . and just his wonderful companionship and upbeat spirit. God bless you, Matt and all your family. Mark & Helen
Hi Carol, I just learned of Charlie's death today. I did not realize that he was one year younger than me! I am so sorry for you and the rest of your family. May God bless you and your family at this time of great sorrow, and have faith that he is now in a much better place and that he will be waiting for you! David R. Herron
