Kenneth Carter

Kenneth Woodbury Carter passed away on Sunday, February 9th, 2020. Kenneth was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts on August 1st, 1929. He graduated from Jamaica High School, Jamaica, New York in 1949. Kenneth joined the United States Air Force on May 28th, 1951 and shipped off to Korea during the Korean War.

He was an extraordinary man! Kenneth was a husband, father of seven children, grandfather of 17 grandchildren and great grandfather of 31 great grandchildren. He was the hero of his family, the mentor of his children and grandchildren, the patriarch of the family.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. Kenneth served our country for 32 years of combined military and Federal service. He was the foundation of his family.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his former wife Jody Baldwin, his parents, James and Clara Carter, and his youngest son Kenneth Woodbury Carter Jr; his brother Neil Carter.

He is survived by his wife Suzanne Carter, his sister Phyllis Carter Veccia, his six surviving children, 17 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren.


Visitation will be held on February 21st, 2020 at Darrell Howe Mortuary from 12:00-4:00.  Funeral service will be on February 22nd at Atonement Lutheran Church in Boulder, CO beginning at 3:00 pm.

Bob, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
