Madeline Loretta Domenico, beloved aunt and great-aunt, passed away at home on Saturday, December 29th 2018, on the family farm. She attended St. Louis Catholic School in Louisville, and was a proud graduate of Lafayette High School Class of 1943.

Madeline was employed by International Harvester in Lafayette for nearly 40 years. She then worked for Boulder Valley School District Food Service for 30 years. She interacted with and loved generations of students at Lafayette and Ryan Elementary, and Centaurus High Schools. She was known for her kindness and generosity.

Madeline was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lafayette. She was an active and committed member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and supported her church community in many ways.

Madeline loved life on the farm. She was born on March 24, 1924 in the house where she lived for 94 years until her death. She enjoyed raising chickens, loved her cats and dogs, and the wild birds, and multiple critters. She had a talent and love for growing plants, and had the greenest thumb for miles around. She carried on the family tradition of her parents and grandparents where everyone was always welcome for the traditional spaghetti and meatball Sunday dinner at the farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Lucy DiDomenico, three sisters and one brother, Anne Stampe, Joseph Domenico, Carmella Preston and Theresa Johnson.

She leaves behind her loving family, nieces and nephews Mary Francis Domenico, Steve Preston, Dick Shewell, David Preston, Cindy Domenico Birgen, Ken Birgen, Joellen Domenico, Robert Domenico, and Teri Johnson. Great nephews and nieces include Vincent Domenico, Julia Birgen, Brianne & Luke Emerson and Christopher and Emily Kellogg, and great-great nieces and nephews Bella and Addie Emerson, Craigen and Harper Kellogg.
