Mary Jean Peters

March 8th, 1928September 1st, 2018

Mary Jean Peters (née Larson), aged 90, of Louisville, passed away comfortably with her son and her close friends Bette and Earl at her side Saturday, September 1, 2018.

Jean was a remarkable woman whose kindness and generosity touched so very many.  From her volunteer work at the Boulder County AIDS Project to the Louisville Library, she proudly gave back to her community.

Her sometimes acerbic (yet always razor sharp) wit, her echoing laughter, and her love of good conversation were the hallmarks of her life.  Nothing pleased Jean more than sitting on her patio, glass of sherry in hand, gazing at the Flatirons.

She was predeceased by her husband, Reaves Edwin (Pete), her son, Reaves Douglas (Doug) and her corpulent feline companion, Pooker. Jean is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Michael), and their children Whitney and Tanner of Boulder, and by her son, Mark (Margot) of Pebble Beach, CA, and by her trusty sidekick, her Westie Reva.

A lifelong Democrat, Jean died with her liberal boots on.  She will be sorely missed.
