Justin Joseph Romero

January 8th, 1993August 31st, 2018

It is with great sorrow to announce that Justin “JJ” Joseph Romero, 25, lost a courageous battle with depression on August 31, 2018 in Waco, Texas. Born January 8, 1993, in Boulder, Colorado, he was the son of Ronna and Freddie Pat Romero. Justin graduated from Erie High School, served a short time in the United States Army Reserve, and followed his passion to work in many aspects of the automotive trade. He later moved to Texas and was pursuing an education in automotive collision repair and restoration. Justin began working in the automotive repair industry in 2018 pursuing his life-long dreams. His abundant friendships, relationships with family, marriage to Laura and becoming a father to Mason brought him an overwhelming sense of joy.

Justin is survived by his beloved wife Laura and son Mason, loving parents Ronna and Freddie Pat Romero, grandparents MaryAnn and William (Bill) Haberkon, and Victoria Romero, brothers Steven and Jared Romero, Godparents Joe Espindola and Michelle Romero-Espindola, and numerous other loving extended family members.

Since Justin’s death, many have shared how special he was and how fortunate they are to have known him. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend to countless people around Colorado and Texas. He will be sorely missed on earth, and our hope is strong that he has passed into eternal life with his Heavenly Father. Justin’s love of life and pursuit of his passions were contagious to everyone who knew him and an inspiration to all he met.

We invite you to share in Justin’s memory during a visitation on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Darrell Howe Funeral Home, 1701 W. South Boulder Rd. Lafayette, CO 80026.
