Alvin Wayne Borrego

Al Borrego, 85, of Erie Colorado, was called to his heavenly home on September 3, 2018. He was born in Denver, CO on May 30, 1933 to Flora Borrego. 
 
He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1952 and worked various occupations throughout his life; ultimately retiring from the City of Erie. Al married Angie Montano on April 18, 1953.
 
Al loved to spend time with his family, take trips to the casino and do karaoke with his best friend Alfonso, nephew Eddie and Goddaughter Kathy. 
 
Al is preceded in death by his wife, Angie; his son, Donnie; his mother, Flora; and his brothers, Manuel Silva and Ernie Silva. 
 
Al is survived by his daughter, Arlene (David) Razo of Brighton, CO; granddaughter, Ginnissa (Jack) Pettinger of Brighton, CO; great grandchildren, Analise and Brandon Pettinger of Brighton, CO; sisters, Emily Chavez; Linda Price; and brothers, Tim Sandoval and Mike Sandoval. 
 
He will always be remembered for his loving, generous and kind disposition and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.  
 
There will be a Funeral Mass beginning at 10AM on Friday September 14, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lafayette with interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Erie immediately following the service. A reception will follow back at the church hall.

There will be a Funeal Mass beginning at 10AM on Friday September 14, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lafayette with interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Erie immediately following the service.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Alvin. We know that you're saddened by the devastating death of your Dad/TaTa. May God be with you all during this difficult time. We send our love to each of you. Joe and Laverne.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. This was so unexpected and hard to understand why but the Lord has a plan for all of us.
