Lillian Irene Case

Lillian Irene Case of Boulder, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October, 22, 2015 at Frasier Meadows.  Lillian was born in Scottsbluff Nebraska on March 15, 1925, the daughter of Mary Kaufman.  She graduated from Gering High School in 1943, and was married in Scottsbluff Nebraska to William E. Case on April 6, 1947.  In 1954, she moved with her husband and two young children from Scottsbluff Nebraska to Boulder Colorado where she resided with her husband the rest of her life. She had a great love for the mountains around Boulder and its community life.   She was a loving Mother who devoted her life to being a homemaker for her family.  She sponsored many foreign students at the University of Colorado who became part of her extended family.  She loved to cook and entertain for family and friends. She worked part time at the gift shop at the Boulder Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Kaufman, and her sisters Ester, Mary Ann, Betty, and Jean.   She is survived by her husband William E. Case of Boulder Colorado, her two sons and their wives: John Case, Marianne Case both of Las Vegas Nevada; and James Case and Susan Case both of Fogelsville Pennsylvania, her sister Dorothy Miller of Norman Oklahoma, and her brother Kenneth Kaufman of Pueblo Colorado as well as grandchildren Nicole Edmonds, Colleen Case, Danielle Case, Ian Case, and Ashley Case Kumrow and one great grandchild Svetlana Edmonds.  Burial will occur at the Green Mountain Cemetery at some future date.  The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Boulder Community Health Foundation (http://www.bch.org/foundationgiving-opportunities/default-foundationgiving.aspx or P.O.
