Richard J. Cole of Boulder, son of Raymond Cole and Mildred (Leavy) Cole of Rhinebeck, NY, died August 5, 2022.  He was born in 1929 and married Grace M. Scism in 1953.  He graduated from Rhinebeck High School and joined IBM in 1948.  In 1951, he was drafted into the Army and was sent to Japan where he attended CBR school in Grifu Japan, earning a secret clearance designation.  He served in Korea with the 578th Engineer Combat Battalion, being honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant in February 1953.  He rejoined IBM and attended Orange County N.Y. Community College.  He moved to Colorado in 1966 retiring in 1973.

Private funeral services are handled by Darrell Howe Mortuary and the American Legion with private burial at Green Mountain Cemetery.
