Elaine Manzanares

July 14th, 1941June 13th, 2022

Elaine was born on July 14th, 1941 to Charles and Nina Stein in Du Quoin, Illionois. After a brief stay, their family moved to Lafayette, Colorado where Elaine attended school. She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1959. Early in her teen years, she met the love of her life, Dave Manzanares. They were married in 1959, when Elaine was 18. Together they had two sons, Randy and Jeff.

She was a devoted mother, and her family was the most important focus of her life. She enjoyed volunteering and organizing events for the Lafayette Little League, trips to Blackhawk to play her slots, and in her older years, spending time with her granddaughters and great-grandsons.

She is survived by her loving family - her sons, David "Randy" and Angela Manzanares, and Jeff Manzanares; four granddaughters, Andrea (Larry) Grenemyer, Alicia (Richard) Manzanares, Kortney (Nik) Pridy, and Kailey Manzanares; four great-grandsons, Eli Grenemyer, Abe Grenemyer, Wesley Pridy, Oliver Pridy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Elaine was a beautiful person and meant so many things to so many of us. She will be loved and missed forever.
