Wendy Lee Kelly
April 27th, 1957 — January 15th, 2022
Wendy Lee (Leggett) Kelly, wonderful mother, nana, daughter, sister, and friend went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2022. Wendy was born on April 27, 1957 in Boulder, CO, and lived most of her life in Louisville, CO. She is one of three children born to Ronald and Arlene Leggett.
After graduating from Centaurus High School in Lafayette, CO, in 1975, Wendy started her long working career. She supported manufacturing and engineering for over 40 years, starting at StorageTek and making it through 2 acquisitions, first to Sun Microsystems and then ORACLE. Wendy was certified in Configuration Management through classes taken in Canada and was the Release Manager for Tape engineering. She considered the people she worked with as family. She was loved by all for her warmth and expertise and will be sorely missed.
Wendy was known for her loving nature, generosity, sensitivity, cheerfulness, and thoughtfulness. She had a great sense of style, always dressing for the occasion, complete with accessories and the perfect shoes. This applied to her home as well, where she decorated for every single holiday. Wendy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was very proud of them and her beautiful smile and her bright blue eyes gleamed with excitement whenever she shared stories about them. From the time they were born until they moved out of state to go to college, Wendy loved to cook for them, shop for them, attend all school activities, and most of all just love them. She was blessed with many lifelong friends that she regularly spent time with. She loved Estes Park and coordinated a yearly family trip there. She loved panda bears, and had room in her house fully dedicated to all her unique stuffed pandas, figurines, and décor. She was very creative and was taking journaling classes and kept herself busy with many projects. She was always the first to volunteer to help with anything anyone ever needed. She actively attended Rock Creek Church for many years, and her faith brought her great comfort.
Wendy is survived by her daughter Janelle (Kelly Stanton), her grandchildren, Sebastian and Raina, who were her pride and joy, and also her mother Arlene, brother Scott, sister Peggy, and many other treasured family members and friends. Wendy will be joining her father Ron, niece Jill, sister-in-law Linda, grandparents, and her precious cats Tiffany and Jagger, along with our heavenly father in paradise.
Many hearts touched by one special life.
