Frank Samuel Weigle

Frank Samuel Weigle passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Lafayette, Colorado. He was born in Chicago, Illinois February 6, 1952 to Samuel and Mary Weigle.

Frank graduated from York H.S. in Elmhurst, Illinois then attended Keystone College in Pennsylvania, and graduated from Boston University, Massachusetts.

In Boulder County, Frank was an investigator with the Boulder Public Defender office from April 1988 until his retirement, October 2018. He also volunteered his time and energy with Carousel of Happiness, in Nederland, Colorado, and was a board member for The Inn Between, in Longmont, Colorado, for many years. Frank was a well respected leader, mentor and friend to people all over the world. He had many other philanthropies that were dear to his heart through service and donations.

Frank was a devoted father to Annika & Elias, grandfather to Prometheus and Audun, all of Lafayette and brother to Martha Jewell, Westminster. He also enjoyed time with niece Rebecka Benoit and nephew Aaron Jewell. Although divorced, Frank remained friends with ex-wife Christina Suarez. He continued to be a member of the family as a son inlaw, brother inlaw, and Uncle to all in the Suarez family and will be missed dearly.

Frank loved the outdoors, hiking, boating, road trips, visiting family, and eating good food. He enjoyed playing ice hockey and attending his beloved Colorado Avalanche games and was a true Denver Broncos fan. Additionally, Frank loved the arts. Many have enjoyed his annual calendar that featured his great photography. Frank was kind and compassionate with a big heart, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial services are being planned for his 70th birthday weekend of February 5 & 6, 2022.
