James "Jim" Norman Prochaska

November 17th, 1943January 4th, 2021

Longtime resident of Lafayette, Jim Prochaska, 77, passed away on January 4, 2021, at home with family by his side.  Jim was born in Superior, CO to Ladik and Bessie Prochaska.  He grew up in Marshall and Louisville, CO.  Jim is survived by his wife, Dorothy, two daughters, Carol and Tanya and three grandchildren, Chelsey, Jace and Jillian. Jim worked in the sheet metal trade for various companies to include Boulder Sheet Metal, Natkin, University of Colorado Boulder and Rocky Flats.  He was involved on the significant Johnson Eisenhower Tunnel project. Jim was a past member of the Boulder Elks Club and current member of the Louisville Rod and Gun Club.  


The family will hold a private service at a later date.
